Honors
Students will be entitled to a degree with honors only if:
- Their final grade average for the degree is at least 90
- The grade average for the courses taken is at least 90
- The grade given by each of the examiners, both for the thesis and for the final examination, is at least 90.
In addition, students may receive a degree with honors only if they are among the 15% of students with the highest grades
among their cohort in the Faculty, or in the department where they carried out their research.
The data for determining the criteria for excellence are based on the data of the previous year group.
Students will be entitled to a degree with highest honors only if:
- Their final grade average for the degree is at least 95
- The grade average for the courses taken is at least 90
- The grade given by each of the examiners, both for the thesis and for the final examination, is at least 95.
In addition, students may receive a degree with honors only if they are among the 5% of students with the highest grades
among their cohort in the Faculty, or in the department where they carried out their research.
The data for determining the criteria for excellence are based on the data of the previous year group.
All of the above is on condition that the student has completed the requirements for the degree within a period of two years
(exceptions will be discussed by the Graduate School committee).
