משך הלימודים
Duration of studies
Students must complete all the requirements, including submission of a thesis, within four semesters of admission to the graduate studies program.
Extension beyond four semesters
In the event of any deviation beyond 4 semesters, students must request an extension of their studies from the departmental committee. For this purpose, a written application must be submitted to the departmental committee, including a progress report and detailed explanation of the reason for the deviation. The application must be submitted at least one month before the end of the fourth semester of studies. The advisor will attach a detailed letter to the application, including a realistic assessment of the estimated completion date. The departmental committee will add its written recommendation to the request (to approve or reject the application), and pass it on to the Graduate School Secretariat for decision.
For a deviation beyond five semesters, the departmental committee's recommendation requires final approval from the Graduate School committee.
In any event, extension of studies beyond four semesters requires advance approval from the department committee. Deviation beyond 6 semesters will not be approved.
Students who do not complete their studies on time (including submitting a thesis and taking the final examination) and have not received approval for extension of their studies will have their program of studies terminated.
Parallel studies in an additional faculty
Students wishing to study in parallel in another faculty must apply for approval from the Graduate School committee. The application will be approved and signed by the student's advisor and by the departmental committee.
