Our main research focused on the rerouting and reorganization of sensory brain areas as a result of congenital or induced blindness. The animal models that we used were blind mole rats (Spalax ehrenbergi) - a subterranean rodent with extremely degenerated eyes, and neonatal enucleated hamsters (Mesocricetus auratus). |
Prof. Yoram Yom-Tov |
My main research interests are behavioural ecology and ecology of birds and mammals, bird migration, zoogeography and nature conservation. |
